Comfortable Travel Outfits

If you are looking for travel outfit ideas I’ve got your back! Full disclosure, I plan my travel outfits with comfort in mind. Whether I’m preparing for a road trip or a flight I’m usually dressed in layers. I get cold very easily so I like to wear pants and often bring a sweater or blanket along. In this post, I’ll share my favorite comfortable travel wear and my favorite companies to shop from.

I hope this gives you some travel outfit inspo . . .

Let’s start from the top down, shall we?

Tops

First, I tend to wear sports bras while traveling or at least something wireless. I am also picky about my sports bras. Most sports bras have crossed straps in the back which is great for support, but I find they hurt my shoulders after a while. I have found two bras that don’t have crossed backs that I just love, I stock up on these when there are new colors!

The first is Athleta’s Exhale Bra, this one is super comfy and has full coverage for the more busty types like me. They often run sales when colors go out of season, so keep an eye out.

The next one is Vouri’s Halo Essential Bra. This one is less bulky than the Athleta one but super soft and comfortable!

As for the shirt, I like looser-fitting soft tops. I am loving this one right now from Athleta and plan on wearing it on my next trip!

Now, I don’t always need a scarf but I do like to bring this one on my trips when I do. It is a lightweight scarf so it doesn’t have to be super cold to wear it. I like that it has a secret pocket that can be handy. I usually keep my credit card and my earphones in there for easy access.

Now, let’s talk bottoms.

I usually wear pants as I am always cold, especially on flights. I really love these two pairs for traveling . . .

Athleta Trekkie North Jogger

I really like these pants, they are sleek-looking and have zipper pockets which are super helpful.

Vouri Performance Jogger

Their DreamKnit joggers are made from this unbelievably soft material and I just love it. These basically feel like wearing pajamas which I am totally fine with!

Let’s Talk Feet

I have recently started wearing compression socks when flying to help with my feet swelling. I have these from Amazon and they work great!

Shoes

For shoes, I usually choose athletic shoes. This is because they are comfortable and warm, and I am usually already bringing them for walking on my travels. These two are super comfortable and two of my favorites:

Allbirds Women’s Wool Runners

I have several Allbirds shoes and find them super comfortable as well as I like that they are made from natural materials. I have these wool runners and I wear them all the time!

On Cloud Sneakers

I recently received these On Women’s Cloud 5 sneakers and they are amazing. I will be wearing this on my next trip. I especially like that these don’t have laces you tie so they are easy to slip on and off for TSA.

As you probably noticed, my two go-to’s for comfortable clothing are Vouri and Athleta.

Vouri has great materials and nice neutral colors along with the occasional fun muted colors.

Athleta is my go-to for comfortable clothing that looks nice. They often come out with fun prints too if you are looking for something more interesting.

What do you like to wear while traveling? I am always looking for pieces to add to my collection.
